Marriage ceremonies are licensed on these premises. We offer a choice of four areas; the formal Walled Garden, the open Gladed Lawn, Oak Framed Barn and the Grand Marquee. You and your guests are invited to explore the grounds of this exclusive venue before entering the Grand Marquee for your wedding breakfast and evening reception where the finishings and accessories are of the finest quality. Our country-style snug lounge and bar conveniently adjoins the marquee offering guests further space and comfort to relax and enjoy this wonderful venue for all its character.
Marleybrook House is perfect for weddings all year round providing the prettiest 'picture postcard' backdrop throughout the changing seasons. Winter weddings are also ideal within the cosy feel of this venue as it offers a log burning fire and a true Christmas feel. With all its features, this venue is a magical winter wedding setting. Experience the nostalgia of the many quirky features in abundance here including an immaculate Oak Framed Barn (situated adjacent to the marquee making it ideal for hog roasts, backdrop for photographs or any unique ideas you may wish to use it for), original haywain, gypsy caravan, vintage tractor, various carts, butchers bike, red telephone box and much more!
Finish the evening in style and stay in the newly renovated Showman's Caravan that is based on the pullman style carriages currently used on the Orient Express. Alternative accommodation includes our Luxurious Bridal Suite, complete with hot tub on the terrace, offering sumptuous accommodation to enjoy at your leisure.
This can also accommodate up to six persons making it the ideal place for a pre wedding get together or simply a space for you to get ready on the day.

We can arrange a bespoke luxury coach service from various locations to arrive at the venue for your guests to relax and enjoy the day. Usual pick ups are from hotels in Canterbury and Sandwich together with all train stations. Alternatively why not turn up in an old London Routemaster red double decker bus, setting the scene for the rest of the day!
Should you choose to hold your ceremony with us then we offer a choice of four areas where this will take place.
The formal Walled Garden is an intimate location with an impressive stone fountain together with the stone statues, urns and planters making this garden as English as it gets. Rambling roses, hydrangeas and topiary add depth to the garden's rustic charm and contrasting formality. A red carpet will lead you to the stone pillared gazebo where you will take your vows. If you wish you may extend your entrance by entering the garden from the rear gate, leading from the Bridal Suite, directly adjoining the walled garden. This will provide you with the opportunity to really make the most of these fairy-tale moments!
Following the ceremony you will have the opportunity to enter the house for the signing of the register. This elegant room is luxuriously furnished with silk swag curtains, baby grand piano and Christopher Guy furnishings including a beautiful chaise longue. Some wonderful photographic opportunities can be taken here whilst your guests enjoy celebratory drinks within the grounds or Snug Lounge Bar.
Alternatively your ceremony can be held within the Kentish Oak Framed Barn, the Grand Marquee or on the larger Gladed Lawn under the Gazebo offering you beautiful countryside views.
In the event of impending bad weather we can erect a marquee frame within the Walled Garden, which can be lavishly decorated, or the Gladed Lawn that is able to provide shelter for 100 guests. It may be that you decide you would like the ceremony to take place within the Grand Marquee providing an indoor option. An additional fee of £250 will be added for either of these options.
You are kindly invited to explore the grounds and take the opportunity to have photographs around this unique venue.
Gather your guests around the large pond that is beautifully framed with Weeping Willow trees, and enter the gladed paddock for a stunning countryside backdrop.
Create your own 'picture postcard' using the magical backdrop of the house itself and capture the nostalgia using the many quirky features around this stunning venue. A range of garden games are available for you and your guests to enjoy creating the ultimate quintessential English Country Garden experience.
Your wedding breakfast and evening reception will take place within the Grand Marquee where the furnishings are of the highest standard and every detail has been taken care of. A charming display will be provided for you within the entrance hall. Enter the Marquee and take in the splendour of the chandeliers, damask linens and stone urns planted with impressive spiral topiary. Stone pillars and bay trees are displayed alongside the windows and decorated with fairy lights to create the perfect ambience.
A staged area is provided, for any evening entertainment, with a professional dance floor and P.A. system. Luxurious washrooms can be accessed from within the Marquee including disabled and baby changing facilities

We are able to provide all your culinary requirements for your special day including your day time canapés, wedding breakfast, and evening food requirements. We can also provide sumptuous hog roasts, and bespoke packages. We have our own catering kitchens which enable us to deliver you the finest quality food, presented beautifully, tasting superb and served impeccably.
You will have the opportunity to discuss your requirements in detail. We will also arrange for you a free tasting session to build a menu of your choice.
We are on hand throughout the entire planning process of your wedding day and are here to support you in the lead up to it.
A typical drinks package will include post ceremony drinks for you and your guests, half a bottle of wine per person during the wedding breakfast and a glass of something special to toast the bride and groom. We offer 4 different packages to suit various budgets and requirements. All our wines however are very well sourced.
We also offer a corkage charge if you have some specific wine in mind.

Wedding Breakfast/Evening Buffet/Canapes
The luxurious bridal suite has been newly renovated to provide sumptuous accommodation for up to six persons. Furnished to a high standard, this accommodation comprises of a king size bed with two single beds on the mezzanine. A bed settee will provide accommodation for two more persons.
A large dressing area with full length mirror and dresser provides plenty of space for you to get ready for your special day. The Bridal Suite is the ideal place for a hair stylist, beautician and/or make-up artist to assist you in your preparations for the day.
The spacious bathroom comprises of a free standing bath and large vanity unit. A separate toilet adjoins the bathroom.
Also available for your use is the steaming hot tub on the terrace. It is the perfect place to get together, sip champagne and enjoy the views.
The bridal suite conveniently adjoins the walled garden enabling you to step straight out on to the red carpet through the rear gate. You may even wish to use this suite as a honeymoon suite or guest accommodation.
The Bridal Suite
Go back in time to this newly restored 1930's Fairground Living Van. The original interior has been brought up to date offering 21st century content whilst keeping the romantic feel of the period.
This vintage showmans caravan is a typical Mollycroft roof design built for J. B. Studt, the famous fairground proprietor.
With the original interior intact, this accommodation has been immaculately restored boasting a glorious Edwardian bathroom (with its high level W.C., free standing sink and larger than expected shower), a luxurious and comfortable double bedroom and a living area featuring a vintage fireplace, comfortable seating and kitchenette.
The homely atmosphere is decidedly vintage whilst offering 21st century luxury thus making it the perfect honeymoon suite.
All finishings and accessories in our suites are of the finest quality including Egyptian cotton sheets, soft towels, bathrobes, slippers and boutique toiletries ensuring you a luxurious and comfortable stay.
Should you wish to customise your stay with us we are more than happy to arrange fresh flowers, champagne, chocolates, mini bar etc. in either of the suites ready for your arrival.

Hi we are Janie and Kris. Marleybrook House has been our family home since 2007. The 17th century house has a unique warmth and old world charm. it is steeped in history and has had an interesting and chequered past! Since living here we have worked hard developing the grounds and gardens. Together with our backgrounds in creative design and our love of hosting events we can now share what we have created, culminating in a truly unique wedding venue. Janie is also very pleased that Kris is now making use of his years of collecting museum pieces!
Our love of the outdoors is reflected in the rustic Kentish charm of Marleybrook House evoking nostalgia and childhood memories on a warm summer's day. However, we like the more refined side of life too! This is reflected in the attention to detail and refinement in all aspects of our venue.
We have both competed in Triathlon at an International level and want to apply the same commitment, hard work and dedication to your special day.
Our aim is to provide as much flexibility as possible thus giving you choices to make your day exactly how you wish it to be.
