The Grounds
The stunning grounds of this dream venue offer rural, idyllic bliss in all its glory.
Enter through an open courtyard, laid to heritage stone, and take in the delights of the pretty cottage garden with perfectly manicured topiary that surround the picture post card main house.
Step a little further to discover arched rose arbors, laden with clematis, and secret doors guiding you through the wonders of wide open lawns, meadows and pretty hedgerows that lay beyond. Lose yourself in the woodland along the secret path and delight in the beauty of the flowing stream framing the grounds so beautifully. You could almost be fooled into thinking you’re on a magical adventure with Alice and her friends in Wonderland.
Why the fairground?
Why not! The fairground started with a small number of vintage rides which has steadily grown to the largest private fairground in the UK.
We grew the fairground because our wedding couples absolutely loved the different experience it bought to their wedding day. The pictures were amazing with the addition of the rides and our guests absolutely raved about them. Truly a unique wedding to remember.
The History
Once home to the legendary singer, actress and cabaret star, Eartha Kitt, Marleybrook House was used at this time as a country retreat to kick back with many well known names within the entertainment business. Having changed hands with a number of influential people within the television industry, the present family were lucky to acquire this beautiful home in 2006. Marleybrook House opened its doors in 2013 to weddings and events thus entertaining guests once again! We are now pleased to be reaching beyond these inner circles by making this magical place accessible to all.
Why Events?
It is not surprising why Marleybrook House has been entertaining guests throughout its history. It’s all about location, location, location together with a beautiful backdrop and a sprinkle of magic created by our expert team. As your guests soak up the quintessential English country setting, with budding blooms and a budding romance, it is almost like stepping on to the set of Darling Buds of May.
Meet The Team
Amber is an enthusiastic and bubbly member of the team, bringing an energetic quality to the venue! Amber has a high-school sweetheart so fairy-tale love has always been prominent in her life. Amber’s previous experience is within retail so she is full of advice and inspiration when considering your suppliers! Amber adores her Golden Retriever, Ruby, and really enjoys couples making their pets a part of their special day!
Amy absolutely loves a good wedding! She feels that all weddings should start with an unforgettable wedding day that you can treasure together forever. It should be full of laughter, fun and love. Amy came to Marleybrook from a career as a lawyer in London. The skills she developed whilst working as a lawyer have enabled her to ensure that every wedding day is seamlessly executed. She loves to travel and experience new cultures. She prides herself on never visiting the same country twice. Amy loves baking and cooking for her family, so is always excited to see a couple’s culinary choices for their special day.
Georgia is a smiley and fun member of the team. She previously worked for many years within the NHS and brings her care and compassion to her current role. Georgia is easy-going with a great sense of humour, bringing a calming quality to everyone she meets. Georgia is one of 8 siblings and enjoys spending quality time with her family, which includes cheering her talented partner along at football games!
